• One foot either side of half the street, plus the French
• Get on horse's seat gripping ends of tether?
• Equivocate
• 'Ad arrows in 'and, about to go across
• To have one foot either side of half the street will be bad for it
• A foot on either side, half way along the street, it will get bad
• Sit heartlessly on fence?
• Stand with legs wide apart
