Possible Clues:

• Snifter
• Drink (a little but often)
• Drink alcohol habitually
• It's the drink that has the priest in there on the floor
• A priest might drink in this on the roof
• With drink the priest is in it on the floor
• Imbibe
• Put the roof on around the priest with drink?
• If I let confusion get around the priest, it's all a matter of drink
• Note the French imbibing very soft drink
