• A little bit taken by perch?
• Young newt
• A little perch for toady?
• Frog or toad larva
• Immature and wet individual bit staff
• A stick at the end of it and a tail at the end of it, too

• He'll croak eventually
• Just a little 6 across, and thereby hangs a tale, by the sound of it
