• Not willful?
• Unwilling, perhaps, to have eaten during the match
• Almost put in grave situation, not prepared to leave
• Not having planned to leave in midwinter, say
• Having no will of one's own
• Ate during the match, but not with a will (9)
• (Dying) without a will
• Swallowed something during the international, but not with a will
