• A position on the cricket field, not long on
• Curtailed part of journey, making something like a slip
• Not long on foot out in the field
• Cricket fielding position behind batsman at side of wicket
• Fielder, not long a member
• Drink left, say, for one who isn't in
• Diminutive support on the field
• That will make one too limp to be in the field
