Possible Clues:

• (Of engine) idle
• Do as little as possible, as it sounds like it's out of time
• Idle a short time before part of test
• Run slowly in neutral
• Brief moment for a visit, being idle
• Make slow progress when credit is no longer available
• Run smoothly (or very slowly?)
